Sugar Hill
This was our first "retail" location ... most thought we were a garage sale and not a true shop ... guess since we had a residence on either side helped this out.
We moved from the trailer because we wanted one of the top bmx race bikes of the time - GT. It was all of 800 square feet, inexpensive and close to the Sugar Hill BMX track and skatepark (both RIP).
We closed this location when the track closed. It was too off the beaten path to be found.
suwanee number 1
This was a great location ... within 100 feet of the intersection of Buford Hwy and Suwanee Dam Rd!! We had 1000 sq feet and a 20 foot container for inventory ... we were growing.
Well within 3 months the power company expanded service (ironically for the facility center we moved to eventually). With this location we became a more traditional shop with other style bicycles.

Duluth - Rampage
Man this was great. Our building was being torn down, the new park was open and Devon was there every hour we were not open!! Rampage then asked us to be their Pro Shop ... yep our little shop had made an impression.
Rampage was great, we had the best park which has ever existed in the area right outside our back door!! Devon and Vern were in heaven getting to go to work with mom and dad and play ALL the time!!
We became the areas largest skate and bmx shop almost overnight. Steve joined us here ... but as with most good times it had to end ... Rampage RIP.
Suwanee 2 - Wal Mart Location
Wow, we went from a small time shop to opening in a major strip center next to a Super Wal Mart. We had 2500 sq feet. We opened this before Rampage closed to sell our non-BMX/Skate products, but ended up having to move that all in when Rampage closed.
This gave us a great location with a bunch of drive by traffic. We quickly grew out of this location and needed more room. So we tried a second shop in Snellville.
A slight error, both locations failed.

Snellville - Deuce Skate
We purchase Skater X-treme and went from being in a park to owning one. It was it's own operation, basically it was our sister shop.
Another fun shop for the kids ... a place to play while mom worked. The park was small but fun. We had 78 and loved the "exposure". But as we found out an old building had some issues. The last summer it was in business, all the air conditioners failed and the new landlords refused to fix them ... they killed Deuce.
The park is still operational as the Avenue skatepark.

Buford -HOME
Well it finally happened. We found EXACTLY what we wanted. We were planning our new shop and found this location by chance. We went from 3500 sq ft to 6500 of retail and 3500 of storage!!
For those who watched us change and grow this was our plan all along .... just took some time to get there!!
We have added Kayaking and outdoor sports. We are way off the beaten track showing that location is not always what is needed.
Great service and selection trumps location everyday ... and having the room to do that helps!!
Before Bnb
Well we originally started in California as Silver Eagle Racing. A hop-up shop for motorcycle racing. We did both Road and Motocross. Eventually became the Yokohama tire rep for the track ... then along came Katy my first "sponsored" rider!! Well we married and had kids, moved to GA and Katy started to rebuild bikes and sell them.
This grew to Mama's Mighty Minis. Which occupied our garage and three retail location ... all had difficulty and we closed.
Our kid rode the Sugar Hill bmx track and on their first race ... we decide to sell our overstock MX stuff ... it all went!! And that's when the lights went on ... Mama's Board n Bike was born!!
